Stephan Kondert is an Austrian Bassplayer, Composer, Arranger and Music Producer. Stephan is predominantly known for his Bigband 'SK INVITATIONAL, founded in 2006, and his Trio THE RUFF PACK, co- founded in 2009. The worldwide projects focuses on fusions of Jazz, Hiphop and Funk, often feature a selection of international Jazz Musicians, Rappers, Pop and Soul Singers.
His recent works include the world-music project SKxAngelite, highlighting the world renown choir The Bulgarian Voices Angelite and some of New York’s finest musicians, like Mino Cinelu, Ray Angry, Manu Delago, Matt ‘Pedals’ Loescher and Anwar Marshal. He co-produced and co-wrote the album ‘Loopholes’ with singer and trumpet protege Andrea Motis, which topped the Jazz charts in Japan at it’s release, and co-produced the album ‘All About Love - New Visions’ from poet and rapper Akua Naru. She also included SK as music composer and co-producer in theater productions for Brown University and as bassplayer for a production with Tyshawn Sorey and the Ensemble Resonanz.
When not touring with his own project, he has worked for several artists as producer and touring musician. SK has collaborated with artists including M.O.P., Rahzel, TY, Dave Murray, Homeboy Sandman,
Bette Smith, Tyler Blanton’s Urban Achievers including Al Street and Josh Dion, Gregory Hutchinson, Hamid Drake, Nasheet Waits, Tyshawn Sorey, Blak Twang, Edo G, Lee Hogans, John Robinson, Jonatan Hoard, Illa J, Ensemble Resonanz, China Moses, Blumentopf, Texta, Fiva, Mono&Nikitaman, Bushido, Nazar, Conchita Wurst, New Opera Vienna and others.
