Who is the Coordinator for Equality, Gender, and Diversity – and what does he*she do?
The Coordinator for Equality, Gender, and Diversity at ABU is responsible for the strategic implementation and further development of the university’s equality and diversity goals. His*Her focus is on creating structural conditions that sustainably promote equal opportunities and inclusion. Through the development of initiatives, networks, and awareness-raising activities, he*she contributes to shaping a diverse, respectful, and creative environment for studying, teaching, and artistic work.
What are the tasks of the Coordinator?
- Support and implementation of the Gender Equality Plan (GEP):
Coordination and monitoring of measures to promote equality; support for departments and committees in planning, implementing, and evaluating initiatives. - Advisory services on gender, diversity, and inclusion:
Assisting staff and leadership in developing diversity-sensitive processes, project initiatives, and communication strategies. - Networking and collaboration:
Cooperating with university departments, external organizations, networks, and public authorities to implement an inclusive university strategy. - Organization of initiatives and events:
Designing and implementing awareness-raising projects, workshops, and artistic-participatory formats. - Monitoring and reporting:
Analyzing and documenting progress in the areas of equality and diversity and developing recommendations for further advancement. - Fostering an inclusive and creative university culture:
Helping to strengthen ABU as a place where diversity, equal opportunity, and artistic excellence are interconnected.
