b-doc
b-doc
b-doc is the new output documentation system for Bruckner University: all artistic and research output will be centrally tracked and managed here, and then made available in a digital format.
The 2-year project started in October 2022 and was headed initially by Prof. Dr. Markus Neuwirth, until February 2024; we also gratefully acknowledge that b-doc has attracted funding from the so-called Future Fund ‘Work–Humans–Digital‘, of the Workers’ Association in the State of Upper Austria (AK Oberösterreich).
A key objective of project b-doc is to achieve a noticeable and sustainable easing of administrative burdens for all university staff, by reducing the need for multiple queries and multiple entering of data that characterized this work in the past.
As a natural companion system to the intranet bruckneronline, b-doc (bruckner-documentation) will in the future complement the university’s portfolio in information and knowledge management across teaching, research, and support services. As an information network, b-doc will help access profiles and output of individual members of the university, and make their work more visible.
Project b-doc will go into production in Fall Semester 2024; and we also warmly welcome other universities of performing arts who may be interested in the project and its applicability to their contexts.
For any queries, please contact a member of the project team (Marc Ernesti, head; Dr Christian Lutz, b-doc trainer; Marvin Netter, IT system technician) via b-doctyrbrucknerunirat at any time.
