The professional landscape for classical musicians has changed significantly in recent years, with purely musical skills now representing only one aspect of a comprehensive 360-degree profile.
This workshop provides participants with a thorough overview of the essential requirements for building a career or launching independent projects within the context of a solo or professional chamber music career. Topics covered include self-management processes, artist materials and marketing basics, an understanding of the classical music market, and the strategic know- how needed to develop personalized career plans. The workshop will offer opportunities for discussion and questions.

Speaker | Andreas Vierziger
Music curator and strategist Andreas Vierziger works internationally with project partners in the classical music industry and beyond, including the Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, Paris Opera Competition, David Lynch‘s Silencio Club in Paris, Grafenegg, Budapest Spring Festival, Welsh National Opera, Vivienne Westwood London, Netflix, and many more.
During his tenure as an artist manager, he oversaw the careers of several renowned musicians, including GRAMMY Award winners. He was a jury member for more than 30 international music competitions and he regularly lectures at numerous universities, including Paris-Sorbonne and the music universities of Tokyo, Oslo, Zurich, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Budapest, Helsinki, and others.
Andreas served on the board of directors of Camerata Salzburg and, since 2023, has been a jury member for the German Record Critics‘ Award. Starting in 2024, he will also joined the advisory board of Ricordi Berlin.
