Applications to study at Anton Bruckner University are only accepted once a year for the relevant winter semester.
Initial information about studying can be found in the ‘Academics’ section of our website. In addition to information about bachelor's and master's programmes, you will also find information about our preparatory courses (talent promotion: Pre-College & Academy for Contemporary Dance & Ballet) and the certificate programmes we offer (continuing education). It is also possible to obtain information directly from professors and students. Some institutes offer work shadowing opportunities. Our social media channels also provide insights into everyday student life.

If you would like to apply to study at ABU, the first step in the admission process for all courses is to register online. Here you will find the registration links and the possible registration periods:

4. Entrance Exam

Important notice
It is not permitted to simultaneously enrol in a second degree programme with the same study objective at another music university, conservatory or comparable domestic or foreign post-secondary or tertiary educational institution (e.g. 2x BA degree programme in concert cello).
