Third-Party Funding Service

The Research Services provide members of Bruckner University with important information and targeted advice on national, European and international research funding programmes.

Services include:

  • Individual project advice (especially research projects, projects for the development and promotion of the arts, symposia and conferences)
  • Support with applications (cost calculation, proposal check, project registration, etc.)
  • Support during project implementation (project deadlines, reports to the funding body, etc.)
  • Science and EEK communication
  • Workshops on third-party funding acquisition

Initial contact with the Research Services is recommended in the early stages of project planning.

  • FWF applications and larger funding programmes (including applications to ÖAW, BMWKMS, FFG and EU applications): 6 months prior to submission
  • All other funding programmes: 2 months prior to submission
  • Initial contact via email: forschungsservicetyrbrucknerunirat

* The mandatory notification is necessary to ensure timely and foresighted semester planning.

  • FWF applications and larger funding programmes: 8 weeks before submission
  • All other funding programmes: 4 weeks before submission

* These deadlines apply exclusively to employees of BrucknerUni who make use of the services of the Research Services.

Mandatory notification of the funding application to the Research Services.

  • Notification to the Research Services via email: forschungsservicetyrbrucknerunirat
  • Notification deadline: 4 weeks before submitting the funding application
  • The planned application then goes through the following approval process:
    1. Review of the funding application by the Research Services (including initial data protection check*)
    2. Review of the funding application by the Vice Rectorate for Research and/or the Vice Rectorate for the Arts and Teaching (including determination of the benefits or significance of the project for BrucknerUni)
    3. Review of the funding application by the Vice Rectorate for Finance and Resources
    4. If all reviews are successful, the application is submitted to the Rector for approval.
  • The applicant will then receive compulsory feedback from the Research Services regarding the approval or, if necessary, adjustment of the funding application.

Third-party funding applications may only be submitted to the funding agencies after successful approval or submission of the fully completed form “FREIGABE Drittmittelprojekte an der BrucknerUni”.

*Research Services conducts an initial formal review to determine whether personal data is processed in the research project.

  • Funding applications are archived by Research Services for the implementation and documentation of your research projects.
