He writes for and performs with Pneuma, a contemporary ensemble with a penchant for improvisation. Following the album “Intangible” (released on Lowenhertz Records), a three-part cycle titled “Episoden” was released in 2024, with world premieres at Echoraum Wien, and in 2022, “cause there is nothing else to do,” a 100-part collage.
As part of the duo “schtum” with Manu Mayr, he performs at various international electronic music festivals. Following the release of two albums on the Vienna-based label Ventil Records, he created a quadraphonic piece for a super-acoustic space (“Reaktor” world premiere at Reaktor Vienna), and in 2024, in collaboration with the Ensemble Phace, the piece “loom,” which had its world premiere at the “Klangspuren Schwaz 2024” festival and will be performed again in 2025 at Wien Modern.
Outside of his regular ensembles, he has also composed pieces for recorder consort with electronics and percussion (“NION,” world premiere 2024 at the Musikverein in Vienna), small ensemble and choir (“rooms,” world premiere 2021 at the Musikverein in Vienna), and violin/piano (“Systeme,” commissioned by Wien Modern, world premiere 2021 at the Alte Schmiede in Vienna). Since 2022, as a guitarist and composer with the “Janus Ensemble,” led by Christoph Cech, he has participated in countless world premieres by young composers associated with the University of Bruck.
