Central IT Services (ZID) at Anton Bruckner University is responsible for the provision, maintenance, and further development of all communication and information systems. This also includes the necessary technical infrastructure, which is indispensable for teaching, research, and administration. ZID sees itself as a central service provider and partner within the university, ensuring a powerful, secure, and modern IT environment.
Goals

- Secure, resilient, and confident operation of the IT infrastructure

Responsibilities
- Strategic IT planning
- Organization and operation of the communications and information infrastructure
- Technical operation: Administration and monitoring of the network infrastructure, server landscape, and end devices
- Service and support: Provision of helpdesk services, training, and instructions for using IT systems
- Information security: Implementation of measures to ensure IT security and data protection
- System integration: Selection, implementation, and maintenance of software and hardware solutions and their integration into existing system landscapes
- Coordination with external service providers: Collaboration with partners and providers to expand and secure IT services
