Human Resources and Legal Department
The Human Resources and Legal Department at Anton Bruckner University sees itself as a central interface between teaching, administration, and the state of Upper Austria. With a strong focus on service, it accompanies and supports all personnel and legal matters relevant to everyday university life. In addition to providing sound advice on legal and personnel-related issues, it is involved—in close coordination with other organizational units—in the strategic and operational fields of recruiting, personnel development, and employer branding, thus contributing significantly to the further development of a future-oriented and appreciative working environment.

- Establishment of modern and efficient personnel-related processes
- Promotion of service-oriented, sustainable, and transparent consulting
- Development of an appreciative culture within the university and individual teams
- Legally compliant establishment of university processes and documentation
- Creation of a value- and people-oriented working environment and promotion of diversity and equal opportunities
Responsibilities
- Support and advice for employees and University Executive Management in personnel and legal matters relating to everyday university life
- Interface for personnel changes and other notifications to the province of Upper Austria, in particular
- Commencement of employment, employment contracts, personnel changes
- Applications for financial subsidies (e.g., travel expenses, commuter allowance)
- Absences & business trips, accidents at work
- Secondary employment
- Personnel development of administrative employees
- Support and organization in tendering, recruitment, and appointment procedures
- Strategic planning, further development, and operational implementation of personnel-related processes (in particular, staffing plans)
- Administration of all documents relevant to employment law
- Drafting of contracts, notices, and all internal legal acts
- Review of laws and regulations
- Preparation and implementation of elections
