Professor Barbara Lüneburg will speak on 29 September 2021 in the panel “Artistics Turn? Artistic research as a challenge for musicology” with the title ‘Artistic research and its epistemological challenges’.
Professor Markus Neuwirth will speak on 30 September 2021 in the panel ‘Digital Humanities and Comparative Music Repertoire Research’ on the topic ‘Quantitative Perspectives in Comparative Repertoire and Canon Research’ and in the panel ‘On the History of Interpretation of Beethoven's 33 Variations on a Waltz by A. Diabelli op. 120’ on the topic ‘“Eine halbe terra incognita’: Zur frühen Aufführungs- und Rezeptionsgeschichte der Diabelli-Variationen". Together with Johannes Hentschel, he will also give the lecture "The development of tonal language in Beethoven's string quartets: A comparative corpus study of the creative phases” in the panel ‘Beethoven analysis’ on 29 September.
Professor Carolin Stahrenberg will take part as an expert in the roundtable ‘Between vocation and profession: Working conditions and perspectives of musicologists in German-speaking countries’ on Thursday, 30 September. The roundtable will be streamed live.
