Barbara Lüneburg, Head of the Doctoral Programmes, is on tour in the Netherlands, China and Norway, giving lectures and concerts as part of three FWF-funded external research projects.

On 24 March 2026, she will speak at the “What Methods Do” conference at Leiden University in Utrecht on methodology in artistic, gender and charisma research, drawing on her research project “Embodying Expression, Gender and Charisma – Breaking Boundaries of Classical Instrumental Practices”. She will then travel to China at the invitation of Hong Kong Baptist University and Hong Kong City University to present two lectures and two concerts on the FWF projects “GAPPP: Gamified Audiovisual Performance and Performance Practice” and “TransCoding – From ‘Highbrow Art’ to Participatory Culture”.

The lectures at the EPARM conference in Oslo, Norway, will be rounded off with a presentation on 9 April on the topic “Embodiment and reception of gender and charisma in classical instrumental performance practice”.
