Interview with Barbara Lüneburg in the Radiokolleg: “Artistic Research - When musicians do research (2)”. Design: Marie-Therese Rudolph (9 March 2022)

“The approach of understanding art and artistic activities as an approach to research has been around since the 1960s. Nevertheless, the two disciplines of science and art are not immediately considered compatible in terms of creating new insights and valuable results. However, artistic research only became established as a dissertation focus at international art universities around twenty years ago, and Austrian art universities have now also reacted and created a programme with advice, support and public forms of presentation.” (ORF, Artistic Research radio programme)

ORF editor Marie Therese Rudolph interviews Barbara Lüneburg, Professor of Artistic Research at ABPU, about methods, challenges and new findings in the discipline of Artistic Research.
