Barbara Lüneburg, head of the doctoral programmes, has been invited to give the keynote at the European Platform for Artistic Research in Music 2023 (EPARM) on the topic “Epistemology of Artistic Research | Chances and Challenges.”

In her talk, she will connect theory and practice by linking theoretical reflections with examples from her research project “Embodying Expression, Gender, Charisma – Breaking Boundaries of Classical Instrumental Practices” (FWF AR 749 G).

As part of her keynote, she will also perform “Exploring Gestures” — a piece for soundtrack and a violinist without a violin.

In addition, she will take part in the panel discussion on “The role of artistic research in the education of future artists at the conservatoires,” where she will present the doctoral programmes of the Anton Bruckner University.
This panel will take place on Friday, March 31, from 9:40 to 11:10 AM.
