The head of doctoral programmes, Barbara Lüneburg, has been invited to the renowned McGill University in Montreal, Canada, to work with students in seminars and discuss topics related to artistic research with colleagues from the arts and research speartments during a one-day study day.

Together with her co-lecturer Prof. Dr. Stephen Broad, chair of the EPARM working group and professor of musicology at the Royal Conservatory in Scotland, she will explore the following topics in workshops, discussions and lectures:

• Historical and institutional development of artistic research

• Epistemology and methodology of artistic research

• Artistic research in practice

• Artistic research in supervision in BA, MA and doctoral programmes

In addition, Barbara Lüneburg will give a guest lecture on the topic of ‘Agency and Empowerment through Artistic Research.’ In this lecture, she will trace how three major artistic research projects have changed her agency as a performer and fundamentally expanded her identity as an artist.
