In February, the new book: LUDIFIED - Artistic Research in Composition, Performance and Audience Perception was published by The Green Box Verlag, Berlin. Prof. Dr. Barbara Lüneburg, head of the doctoral programs at ABPU, edited this book together with Prof. Dr. Marko Ciciliani and Andreas Pirchner. She is also represented in the book as an author and performer.
LUDIFIED is divided into two main parts: “Artistic Research in Audiovisual Composition, Performance and Perception” presents the project and its methodological research approaches. “Game Elements in Marko Ciciliani's Audiovisual Works” is devoted exclusively to the artistic research work of the head of the research project, Marko Ciciliani. The book offers a comprehensive insight into the artistic research project “GAPPP - Gamified Audiovisual Performance and Performance Practice”, which was based at the Institute for Electronic Music and Acoustics at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz from 2016-2020.
In addition to various texts by the core team, consisting of Marko Ciciliani, Barbara Lüneburg and Andreas Pirchner, the book presents texts, images and sketches by guests who accompanied the project. The integrated USB stick contains four hours of high-quality documentation of the audiovisual works. Numerous illustrations and the integration of an augmented reality section complete the aesthetic impression and convey the process of creative and exploratory work.
