From 19 to 23 January 2026, Rose Breuss (supervisor at the ABU Doctoral School) and Anja Arend (Professor at Folkwang University of the Arts) organised an Erasmus Short Term Mobility programme for five students of the Master's programme ‘Movement Research’ at the Bruckner University under the motto ‘Folkwang Dance Yesterday and Today’.

The central starting point for the mobility programme was the exchange between the two institutions in the context of praxeological dance research based on the Jooss-Leeder method, dance notation and dance studies that practises a close connection between artistic practice and research. The Erasmus exchange was embedded in the research project ‘Die Sacharoffs’ led by Rose Breuss and Anja Arend, in which students from Essen and Linz are involved. The research results will be presented in May 2026 as part of the Munich Dance History Tours in a lecture performance.

The Erasmus Short Term Mobility programme is an important building block for the continuation of institutional and research-based exchange between the ABU and the Folkwang University of the Arts.
