L. Roman Duffner (ABPU, Institute for Theory and History) has developed an experimental-scientific graphic novel in collaboration with Benjamin Schiemerr (JKU Linz) and comic artist S.R. Ayers, which has been published in the current issue of the online journal Sociologica. In this story, various scientific theories of creativity humorously appear as superheroes whose powers are illuminated in relation to a fundamental threat.

A supplementary Research Note on this graphic novel reflects on the development process and challenges at the interface between scientific and artistic work.

The issue of the online journal Sociologica deals in general with the question of what social science can learn from the graphic novel.
