In the current issue of Musik & Ästhetik (vol. 29, issue 114, 2/2025), Hans Georg Nicklaus, university professor and dissertation supervisor at Anton Bruckner University Linz, sheds light on the development of lecture concerts in the late 19th century as an important form of music mediation with his article „Lecture-Concerts. Musikvermittlung in Großbritannien und den USA zwischen 1880 und 1900“.
The article examines how these events as a combinationof lecture and music shaped music mediation.
