Ecclesia participated in the III Annual Conference ‘Associazione Nazionale Docenti AFAM’ (ANDA), held October 17th-19th at Conservatorio A. Vivaldi in Alessandria, Italy. The conference, which brings together teachers and researchers from Italian and international institutions, included for the first time Italian doctoral students. Ecclesia delivered a workshop on the use of thematic analysis in artistic research, drawing on the course she teaches at ABU's doctoral program.
The following week, Ecclesia was invited to the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Tallinn, where she conducted a workshop on the same topic for doctoral students from the music and theatre departments on October 24th, as well as giving private consultations on project planning and research design.
On October 25th, together with colleagues Theodore L. Parker and Kristi Kapten, Ecclesia presented the results of the artistic research project "Modernised Salon: broadening performers' perspectives on public presentation" (KUM-LU14), funded by the Estonian Ministry of Culture. The project investigated site-specific alternative performance formats that foster genuine audience-performer interaction.
