Two compositions by Andreas Weixler, supervisor of the doctoral programmes at Bruckneruni, have been selected for performance at the International Computer Music Conference 2026, which will take place in Hamburg from 10 to 16 May 2026.

The selection includes the audiovisual interactive work plastique, developed in collaboration with Se-Lien Chuang. Conceived as a “comprovisation” for electric guitar, visual media, and the performative setting GLISS – Green Leaves Imaginary Scenic Score, the piece combines compositional and improvisational approaches and reflects on questions of perception, materiality, and ecological contexts within a multilayered audiovisual environment . The work will be presented as an authentic premiere in collaboration with the SPIIC+ ensemble as ensemble-in-residence of ICMC 2026, making use of the on-site audio and video systems.

The second selected work is the multichannel electroacoustic composition Asymmetric Stamina (2025). The piece was created during a residency at the Visby International Composers Centre in Sweden and is based on sound materials recorded on site, contrasting urban soundscapes with natural sonic phenomena . Electric guitar, voice, and live electronics form the sonic foundation of this spatially conceived composition.
