poemmusic: sign language poetry & music

poemmusic refers to a format successfully launched in 2024 with the support of Licht ins Dunkel and the CMHF Infinitus association, which combines sign language poetry and music; it is organised by the Bruckner Alumni Network in cooperation with the ABU.

poemmusic combines sign language poetry (Visual Vernacular) and music in an inspiring way. This artistic-pedagogical project is taking place for the third time at BrucknerUni. In 2026, the artists will explore the theme ‘Jetzt. Momentaufnahmen'.
Deaf artists and music students will work together to develop expressive performances, which they will present on stage in the Great Hall at BrucknerUni in November 2026.
The programme will be complemented by an exhibition with an opening reception, at which deaf artists will showcase their works on the theme.
