Austrian Violinist Sabine Nova has been Professor for Violin at Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz since 2013. 
Before focusing on teaching and freelance work she has held concertmaster positions in Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Volksoper and Saarländisches Staatsorchester Saarbrücken in Germany.
Being regular guest concertmaster of Camerata Salzburg she has worked with conductors like Roger Norrington, Anja Bihlmaier, Heinrich Schiff, and has also led the orchestra herself. 
Guest concertmaster performances also include Austrian orchestras Bruckner Orchestra Linz, Tonkünstler Orchester Niederösterreich, as well as Sinfonieorchester Wuppertal in Germany.
Her concertmaster appearances include venues like Musikverein and Konzerthaus Vienna, Festspielhaus Salzburg, Berliner Philharmonie, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Philharmonie Köln and many more.

Sabine is also a founding member of Teodor Currentzis’ Utopia Orchestra.
Sabine Nova’s chamber music partners include Benjamin Schmid, Patrick Demenga, Cristian Altenburger, Thomas Selditz, Lars Anders Tomter, Elena Nemtsova, Andreas Schablas, Matthias Schorn, Herbert Mayr, Paul Gulda and Elisabeth Leonskaja, among others.
With her own ensemble, CrossNova, she has made debuts at most renowned concert venues like Konzerthaus Wien, Wiener Musikverein, Philharmonie Luxembourg and Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. CrossNova regularly commissions new compositions, develops and premieres musical theatre projects, works with actors and features education projects.
Sabine has worked with numerous composers, especially as a member of „die reihe“, a sinfonietta founded by Friedrich Cerha and HK Gruber, often led by composer and conductor Christian Muthspiel, specializing on music of the 20th and 21st century. 

She holds degrees from Bruckner Konservatorium Linz (studying with Josef Sabaini) and Musikhochschule Lübeck, Germany, where she studied with Shmuel Ashkenasi. Sabine also  gained a scholarship to study with Shmuel Ashkenasi at Northern Illinois University, USA, won a scholarship to participate at Yale Summer School of Music Chamber Music Session at Norfolk, Connecticut, USA, studying with Tokyo String Quartet, among others, and finished her studies in Vienna under Christian Altenburger.

Sabine Nova shares her life in Linz with partner on and off stage, pianist and composer Rainer Nova, two daughters, a son and a cat.
She owns a violin by Charles Buthod, Mirecourt 1842, and a viola by Maciej Lacek, Nowy Targ 2005.
