Financial Support for Doctoral Students
Subject to the availability of funds, the Vice-Rectorate for Research supports ABU doctoral students with an individual Doctoral Study Fund to financially support them and thus increase the quality of their studies. For each calendar year, doctoral students may apply for funding of up to EUR 1,000 towards their own expenses relating to their doctoral studies, which is awarded on a purpose-specific basis upon presentation of supporting documents. Material costs must have been incurred in the same calendar year and must be purpose-specific; these are material expenses arising from the doctoral programme. Over the standard duration of study of six semesters, this grant amounts to a maximum total of EUR 3,000 per doctoral student. In justified exceptional cases, the grant may be claimed beyond the standard duration of study of six semesters (subject to the overall limit of EUR 3,000 per person).
Funding Application
If the specified funding criteria are met, the funding application must be sent to doktorattyrbrucknerunirat using the form provided below. Only applications submitted by email will be accepted. The application will then be assessed by the Head pf the doctoral programmes in accordance with specified criteria, who is responsible for the final decision on funding approval.
