Student Services
The Student Services Department is the central hub for the organization and administration of the university's academic and teaching activities. It manages the entire student life cycle, from application to the awarding of degree certificates upon successful completion of studies. It advises and supports students in organizational and administrative matters. For teaching activities, it provides the necessary courses in the campus system on a semester basis. In close coordination with the Dean's Office, the Student Services Department acts as an information hub between academic and teaching activities and other areas of administration, focusing on clarity and the principle of equal treatment.
Goals
- Enabling students to study successfully and smoothly
- Supporting students in administrative study matters
- Providing, continuously updating, and improving information on study programmes and academic regulations
- Modernising processes by utilising the technical capabilities of the campus system (with support from the Central IT-Services)
- Continuously improving the efficiency of administrative processes and their digitisation
Responsibilities
- Administration of the application process
- Enrollment and transfer of studies
- Issuing student ID, maintaining student files
- Correspondence with and advising of students, as well as processing applications
- Entering approved course credits
- Checking that all requirements for thesis defense and degree completion have been met
- Processing final exam registrations, managing final exam dates and exam results
- Administration of the thesis submission and assessment process
- Issuing confirmations, transcripts, degree completion documents, and diploma supplements
- Creating new courses in the campus system
- Modeling and updating curricula (SPO) in the campus system when changes occur
- Providing data and statistics for internal and external departments
