Wenger
Clemens Wenger, born in Krems an der Donau in 1982, lives and works in Vienna as a composer and musician for contemporary jazz, pop, and electronic music.

He initiated the JazzWerkstatt Wien, has been leading this musicians' collective for 20 years, and is the head of the successful Viennese soul band 5/8erl in Ehr'n.
In September 2024, Wenger, in collaboration with physics professors from the Vienna University of Technology, JKU Linz, and the University of Innsbruck, presented the first concert with entangled photons: BruQner – The Sound of Entanglement was seen by 3,100 people in Linz Cathedral at the opening of the ARS Electronica Festival. This was followed by invitations to the renowned Johns Hopkins University in Washington, the Science Ball at Vienna City Hall, the European Forum Alpbach, and as part of the exhibition in the Austrian pavilion at EXPO2025 in Osaka, Japan.
As a solo artist, Wenger most recently released Physics of Beauty, a collection of 32 pieces, as an interactive digital artwork. www.physcisofbeauyt.art received international acclaim in music and design media, won the Content Vienna grand prize, and was longlisted for the German Record Critics' Award in the Electronics/Experimental category.
Together with Mira Lu Kovacs, Wenger released Sad Songs To Cry To in 2022, a collection of songs from nearly 100 years of music history. Euphorically received by the media and audiences, the two have been playing sold-out concert series ever since.
At the Münchner Volkstheater, he composed the soundtrack for the successful productions Schöne Neue Welt and Herkunft, among others, which were each shown for four seasons and praised by the press and audiences for their stage music. With his band 5/8erl in Ehr´n, Wenger won an Amadeus Austrian Music Award for the sixth time in 2021.
