Felix works as a co-ordinator with Univ.-Prof. Dr. Barbara Lüneburg for the doctoral programmes.

In addition to this work, he is currently studying fine arts in the diploma programme of University of Arts Linz (Department of Experimental Art from Anna Jermolaewa) as well as a Master in Sociology at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. He graduated in the dual-subject Bachelor in Sociology and Philosophy at the University of Potsdam in 2022. Felix is also an honorary member of the student advisory board of the German Sociological Association (DGS).

In his professional development, Felix Brinkmann combines a range of experience outside the academic world. As such, he has already worked in various factories in shift work, at a weekly market as a book seller, as an editor at DORFTV and in a youth centre as a supervisor. In addition to his work at ABPU, Felix Brinkmann runs political education workshops with young people for various organisations and foundations (Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Berlin, Netzwerk für Demokratie und Courage, Mauthausen Komitee). Most recently, he was also working as a tutor for a bachelor's seminar at the JKU with Karin Fischer in the field of global sociology. His art takes place in public spaces and addresses political problems such as the environmental crisis. He is writing his master's thesis on the social suppression of climate change in everyday life, focussing on the possibility of artistic interventions as counter-impulses.

As co-ordinator of the doctoral programmes, Felix Brinkmann is primarily responsible for coordination tasks and contributions to the strategic development of the doctoral programmes. He works at the intersection between doctoral students, faculty, and administration.
