It is no drama to receive feedback if something goes off the rails; it would be dramatic, though, not to receive any feedback at all!
This is why Quality Management invites you to name issues and bring them to us – which can be done anonymously.
What next?
All anonymous contributions will go into inbox, qualitytyrbrucknerunirat. Alternatively, you are welcome to put a hard-copy message into the QUM letterbox outside room 1.117.
(If you wish to have a personal answer, you are most welcome to write to us direct – all messages will be treated in strictest confidence.)
We go through all messages on a regular basis; develop specific action points; and take those action points to the department concerned or the President’s Cabinet.
Which kind of feedback can I offer?
In principle, anything at all. Please prioritize topics where it is not clear to you who might be in charge. (Otherwise, we would hope you speak direct to the person concerned.) Please be as factual and specific as possible. The example below illustrates this further.
Is there evidence that any action will be taken at all?
Yes – let us give you one example: One message was concerned that experiences and lessons learnt from the pandemic would be, well, not learnt… rightly so. Yet who is in charge here? Answer: all of us are. We issued a questionnaire inviting everyone to share their observations and notes; next steps were proposed to the President’s Cabinet and are currently being implemented, e.g., in a university Contingency Plan.
What else could I do?
If a positive solution seems obvious, why not suggest it via our ideas competition? There may even be prize money in it for you! If the topic is serious, you can pursue it via our whistleblowing scheme. Please sleep over it, and establish whether it really is that serious; the next day, you would take it further here.
